Out of Gas

Travel through space as you mine for resources like gold, iron, oxygen, and gems. Use collected resources at space stations to upgrade guns and shields and improve gas usage. Mostly a peaceful game of exploration, you will have to monitor your ship's gas and ammo usage and may occasionally attract the attention of pirates who will attempt to destroy your ship.

In Out of Gas, the environment beyond the starting area is procedurally generated and completely random. Apart from the special colored asteroids, the dropped resources are also completely random. There is a chance that you will encounter a trade post, where you can trade gems for large amounts of other resources such as gold, iron, and oxygen.

Controls

W and Up-Arrow: Forward thrust

A and D, Left and Right Arrow keys: Turn Left and Right

Esc: Pause Menu

Q: Space Station Menu (only when docked at a Space Station)

P: Waypoint Menu

M: Large Map

Space: To Shoot

This game is currently in development. I would greatly appreciate any helpful comments about issues you run into.

Known Issues

Sometimes the mini-map will not update to your current position. This usually fixes its self after a bit.

Sometimes multiple areas will be created at the same position. This creates multiple space stations, enemy groups, and many more asteroids. This shouldn't crash the game.
